Raymond Electrical believes that Solar Power will be a major energy source in the coming years. With rising energy costs, localizing energy production and storing it will have major benefits for commercial businesses.

Grid-tied net-metering applications. Commercial buildings often have tons of real estate for solar panels. Huge flat roofs with virtually no shading. Using a grid-tied or net-metering system will allow this business to sell their power back to the utility electric provider. This will offset their power consumption and potentially shrink or eliminate their electricity cost all together.

The main thing to remember is that net-metered or grid-tied PV systems will not provide back-up power in a power outage. This system is designed for cost offsetting purposes only. But this can be an asset to a commercial property or business.

Off-grid commercial properties can benefit from PV and LFP battery storage systems. These off-grid businesses previously relying on 100% generator use can see huge savings on their fuel bills to power their businesses. We have helped aquaculture farms, off-grid kids camps, and even remote buying stations.

At the moment the only grant/incentive for solar is the enhanced depreciation. Allowing 100% write-off in the first year of purchase.
